How ScrAPI compares to other web scraping APIs
Scraping providers are hard to compare because they do not bill in the same unit. Some charge credits that vary with the features you switch on. Some charge per successful result and vary the price by which site you asked for. One charges for compute time. A headline price per thousand requests is rarely comparable across two of them.
Each page below works through one competitor: how it bills, what a realistic workload costs on both products, where it is stronger than ScrAPI, and where it is not.

Comparisons
ScrAPI vs ScrapingBee
Credit pricing close to ScrAPI's, with concurrency sold by plan tier and credits that expire monthly.
ScrAPI vs ScraperAPI
Credit pricing with large multipliers for rendering and premium proxies, and country-level geo-targeting gated behind the $299 tier.
ScrAPI vs ZenRows
Four products on one credit balance, a permanent free tier, and structured extraction still in beta.
ScrAPI vs Bright Data
A much broader data platform. Several overlapping products with different billing units, sized for enterprise volume.
ScrAPI vs Oxylabs
Bills per successful result rather than per credit, priced by target. Cheap for hard pages, expensive for easy ones.
ScrAPI vs Apify
An Actor platform and marketplace rather than a single scraping endpoint. Billed by compute time, not per request.
Reading a scraping price list
Three things move the real cost far more than the advertised rate.
The billing unit. A credit is not a request. On most credit-based APIs a single request can cost between 1 and 75 credits depending on whether you asked for a browser, a residential proxy, or both. Two providers quoting the same price per credit can differ by an order of magnitude on the same job.
What counts as billable. Providers differ on whether a blocked page, a 404, or a page that returned HTML without the data you wanted is charged. That difference matters most on exactly the sites you were struggling with.
What the plan gates. Some providers sell concurrency, country-level geo-targeting, or analytics history as plan tiers, so the monthly price is not only buying volume.
ScrAPI's own model is on the credit usage page: one credit for a plain HTTP fetch, five for a browser, five or ten for a data centre or residential proxy, added together per request.
Test it against your own targets
Comparison tables only go so far. The sites you actually need are the test that matters. A verified account gets an API key with 1,000 starter credits, with no card required.
